I started in on an idea a couple of years ago now, and it’s had several false starts. I still daydream about writing the screenplay for this story for some feature series that’ll eventually find its way to some streaming service somewhere. And who’s to say that won’t happen? At the moment, that’s me, I’m the who. Every time I try to start on a screenplay version of this story, I feel bad about myself. It’s a difficult thing to turn away from prose and into the segmented world that is screenplays. I’m not quite ready to feel that ineptitude again just yet.

That being said, I’ve written the better part of five chapters of this new book, and I’m well on my way to finding the end of it at some point. My goal is to complete it by the end of October for a fun Spooky Season release. Fingers crossed she cooperates. I’m just happy to be writing again. I’ve added the first lines of this one below. I hope it makes you want to bug me to finish writing it. Every push and poke helps, I promise.
